Hello my fashion friend’s and style sista’s! How have you all been doing!? It has been quite some time since I’ve updated Outfit 101, so if you’re reading this blog post, THANK YOU! Thank you for following Outfit 101 and thank you for opening your email today! I really appreciate your support. I have been locked out of my blog since 2017. So I am super excited to be granted access after all this time. During this Coronavirus outbreak I have vowed to relaunch Outfit 101 and I am welcoming any feedback on things you would like to see more of.
While I was brainstorming on what direction to take Outfit 101 in during this global pandemic, I came up with nada. Initially, I thought to focus on creative ways to quarantine but drew a blank, then I thought to stick with fashion, like quarantine fashion but how many ways can you wear t-shirts, leggings and sweatpants? and then all things Coronavirus came to mind, but this isn’t the news. So I decided to ask you all a few questions that will lead me in the right direction.
What are you tired of hearing about?
What would you like to learn more about?
What is your favorite thing about Outfit 101?
What has been the best and/or worst part about 2020?
I will be updating Outfit 101 regularly and adding new features like a shopping cart, tutorials and virtual pop up shops. Please spread the word and don’t be shy about mentioning any ideas that would improve your Outfit 101 experience!

In Fall of 2015 we witnessed the return of the bomber jacket. If you listened to 1990s rap music, you may refer to it as an “O.P.P.” jacket representative of the 90s anthem, “You Down Wit’ OPP?” But we truly owe the military for the original style and design of this jacket. Referred to as the “MA-1” flight/bomber jacket, designed circa 1950, it was designed with the needs of a military pilot in mind. Initially the jacket came in midnight blue or army green with a bright orange lining. While this wasn’t the first bomber jacket design, this was the first to have a knit collar which has clearly been a crowd pleaser based on it’s 60+ year longevity in street style and fashion.
Enter Fall 2016, the bomber has evolved and is still proving itself to be a wardrobe staple. With fun, bold color choices, a variety of fabrications and intricate embroidery; these trendy and affordable bomber jackets are sure to keep you warm, stylish and on trend this season.
I’m so in love with this contrasting sleeve trend that’s happening right now. But tbh to be honest, I fall in love with new apparel trends pretty easily. But this is a trend I can love for a long time. The mixed media offers so many possibilities with tried and true classic silhouettes. It gives a fresh look at on old favorite. Now, instead of a basic raglan or sweatshirt, you’re donning a stylish print, leather or knit sleeved shirt that’s fashionable and functional. This super cute “Ferocious Top” pictured above, is sold out but stay on the lookout for this trend in stores…Happy Shopping!
